️ From Ramen in the Basement to Sunshine in Cupertino
July 20, 2025 – After surviving two years trapped in our basement during the Great Storm (yes, *two* full years with nothing but a crate of instant ramen, a suspicious amount of Prime energy drinks, and one single frozen pizza), my family and I finally made it out. And let me tell you — fresh air? Tastes like victory.
My pregnant wife, our 6-year-old son, and I packed up our gear (which was really just a duffel bag of hope and 43 empty Prime bottles) and headed straight for the most magical place I could think of: Cupertino, California.
Day 1? We hit the park. Our son ran like he just discovered what grass was. Day 2? We ate real food. Not freeze-dried. Not powdered. Real. Food. My wife cried into her lasagna. Day 3? We took this photo below. It’s wild to think just 2 months ago, we were arguing over who licked the last cheese dust off the pizza box. And now? We're in front of a sign that says “Welcome to Cupertino.”

I don’t know what the future holds. But I know this: I’ll never look at a cup of ramen the same again. And I’ll never stop being grateful for sunshine, family, and places that feel like fresh starts.
Until next time,
